Available for 1.50 hours of CPE credit
Activity Number: 0217-0000-23-129-L04-P

Community pharmacists are among the most accessible health care providers with long-standing involvement in public health initiatives, such as vaccinations. Community pharmacists’ opportunity to positively impact public health is rapidly expanding across the country as a result of their contributions to the COVID-19 pandemic response and state law and regulation changes to broaden pharmacy professionals’ scope of practice. The Community-based PRN Focus Session will highlight emerging community-based clinical services to support public health and legislative changes happening nationwide to broaden pharmacists’ scope. Services that will be covered are community-based hormonal contraception, HIV PrEP and PEP, and behavioral health services. This session will provide the opportunity to increase knowledge of emerging clinical services and how they can be implemented at community-based pharmacies.
