Conquering Your Fear of Biostatistics: A Chance to Practice
Saturday, November 11, 2023 from 9:45 AM to 11:15 AM CST at Lone Star Ballroom C2
Available for 1.50 hours of CPE credit
Activity Number: 0217-0000-23-111-L04-P
Activity Type: An Application-Based Activity
At some point in time, every clinician wrestles with biostatistics. Some master them, but many teeter down a journey of mastering them and then being humbled by a new method. Biostatistics is a critical component of evidence-based medicine in pharmacy practice. This session will utilize landmark studies to guide practical interpretation of complex study designs (e.g., case-control studies with propensity score matching), clinical significance vs. statistical significance, and translation to practice.
Please note: This session is open to all Annual Meeting registrants and is an elective for the Research and Scholarship Academy. In order to receive Research and Scholarship Academy credit, Academy enrollees must sign in during the session.
