Optimize for Size: Dosing in Obesity

Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 10:15 AM to 11:45 AM CST at Lone Star Ballroom A3

Available for 1.50 hours of CPE credit
Activity Number: 0217-0000-23-114-L01-P
Activity Type: An Application-Based Activity

Patients who are obese make up a significant portion of the population, and this can represent a challenge for pharmacists as standard dosing provided by the manufacturer may not be optimal. Should I recommend a DOAC? How should I adjust this antibiotic? In this session, we will apply the latest literature to patient cases in order to evaluate dosing strategies for various classes of drugs, including anticoagulants, antibiotics, and others.
