This session aims to address four objectives and will provide a review of the background for of recent literature related to the treatment and monitoring of autonomic dysreflexia (AD) versus paroxysmal sympathetic hyperactivity (PSH), previously known as dysautonomia, in pediatric patients. The target audience of this session is all pediatric pharmacists in both the inpatient and outpatient settings who care for infants and children that are complex, chronic patients. It is the purpose of this session to provide the pharmacist with the knowledge and tools to appropriately treat these high-risk patients.
