ACCP Resident/Fellow Travel Awards

ACCP offers travel stipends to help defray the costs residents and fellows incur when attending the ACCP national meeting. Resident/Fellow Travel Awards are administered through the ACCP Foundation and funded by the Resident/Fellow Travel Award Fund.

Description	The Ambulatory Care PRN will award two (2) resident/fellow travel awards in the amount of $850 each toward the cost of participating in the 2024 ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ (October 12-15, 2024). Residents or fellows can use this award to support the costs associated with travel and registration.

Eligibility	Applicants must meet the following criteria: 1. One of following: --> PGY1 resident, PGY2 resident, or fellow as of July 1, 2024, in a program with ambulatory care emphasis --> PGY1 resident as of July 1, 2024 with interest in ambulatory care practice; --> New practitioner in ambulatory care with completion of a 2023-2024 residency or fellowship program 2. Current member of ACCP 3. Current member of the Ambulatory Care PRN 4. Able to attend the Ambulatory Care PRN Business and Networking Meeting at the 2024 ACCP Annual Meeting 5. Applicant must not be a recipient of the Ambulatory Care PRN resident/fellow travel award in a previous year. 6. Applicant must not be a recipient of other ACCP Travel Awards during current cycle.

Description	The Cardiology PRN will award two travel grants of $750 each to support the costs associated with the ACCP Annual Meeting in October 2024. One grant will be dedicated to a pharmacy resident or fellow currently enrolled in a residency or fellowship program with anticipated completion by June 30, 2024, and with an interest or focus in cardiology.

Application Requirements	Each applicant may submit only one application in consideration for this award. Applications must include: Applicant’s current curriculum vitae Two letters of reference , and One-page letter of intent (LOI): In the LOI state your interest in cardiology (and/or the Cardiology PRN), reasons for attending the ACCP Annual Meeting, and describe any abstracts (research, cases, systematic reviews, research in progress, etc.) you will submit to present at the 2024 ACCP Annual Meeting. If the awardee has an abstract accepted, in addition to presenting at the poster session(s), the awardee will have the opportunity to present at the ACCP Cardiology PRN annual business meeting. Letters of recommendation should be submitted directly from the reference writer to Kristin Watson, Pharm D, MS, BCCP All application materials should be submitted via email to Dr. Kristin Watson. A selection committee organized by the current chair of the Cardiology PRN’s Student and Trainee Committee, Dr. Jenna Cox, will select award recipients based on a pre-determined scoring system. Award recipients will be responsible for the initial cost of meeting expenses and reimbursed following the completion of the ACCP Annual Meeting.

Description	The Central Nervous System (CNS) PRN will be offering up to two Trainee Travel Awards to attend the 2024 ACCP Annual Meeting.

Description	Travel award for one pharmacy resident to present their research in the area of clinical administration at the ACCP Annual Meeting. Recipients are expected to attend the Clinical Administration PRN Business Meeting and give a presentation (5-10 minutes) on their project. Recipients are also expected to actively participate on a Clinical Administration PRN committee the following year.

Description	The Critical Care PRN will award travel grants to partially support the costs of travel and attendance of up to 2 critical care fellows and/or residents at the ACCP Annual meeting.

The residency/fellowship program is not required to be a Drug Information or Medication-Use Safety and Policy residency, but the topic to be presented must be drug information-related. Description	The Emergency Medicine Practice and Research Network (EMED PRN) of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) will award THREE (3) travel awards per year for students and/or residents to partially support the costs of travel and attendance at the ACCP Annual Meeting.

Application Requirements	Abstract submissions should follow the requirements for submission to the ACCP annual meeting. Each applicant may only submit one research abstract for consideration for either the Student or Resident Award. Students or Residents/Fellows that have received an ACCP Travel Award or another PRN Travel Award for the ACCP Annual meeting will have to decline the award of their choosing so that only one award is received. In the event that the EMED PRN travel award is declined, the runner-up will be awarded. The recipients of the travel awards will be required to present their research project as a 10-minute platform presentation at the EMED PRN business meeting during the Annual Meeting.

Description	The Endocrine and Metabolism (E/M) PRN Trainee Travel Grant is intended to provide financial support for one or more students, residents, and/or fellows attending the ACCP Annual Meeting. Each recipient of the travel grant is required to give a brief (10-minute) presentation at the E/M PRN Business & Networking meeting. The presentation can be an endocrine or metabolism clinical pearl, a description of a completed or ongoing research project, or a journal article review. Each recipient of the travel grant will be assigned a mentor (who is a member of the E/M PRN) who will provide guidance with the preparation of this presentation.

Examples include: years and participation in ACCP, previous attendance at ACCP or other health outcomes research-related meetings, past research involvement (posters, projects, manuscripts). 2) A one-page letter of intent stating your interest in health outcomes research and expected outcomes from attending the ACCP Annual Meeting. The award supports registration expenses for one student or resident member of the Pulmonary PRN.

Description	The ACCP Transplant PRN will be offering travel awards to help support up to FOUR Transplant PRN members with travel expenses (ie. lodging, airfare, meeting registration) for the 2024 ACCP Annual Meeting in Phoenix, AZ Oct 12- Oct 15. New this year, we are offering a "bundle package" which will allow for the student/resident/fellow as the primary applicant and an associated preceptor on the project to both receive $750 towards travel expenses. We will offer ONE "bundle package" and TWO individual awards. If no bundle package is submitted, then funding would be provided for up to four individual recipients. While the application deadline is before the notification of abstract acceptance for the annual meeting, winners of the travel grant will not be awarded until after abstract acceptance is confirmed. Please do not be deterred from applying for the travel grant because you don't know if your abstract will be accepted!

Eligibility	Applicants must be a current member of the ACCP Transplant PRN, be an author on a research abstract accepted to the Transplant specialty section for the ACCP annual meeting, not have received this award in the previous 3 years, present his/her/their research at the Transplant PRN Business Meeting and Networking Forum during the ACCP Annual Meeting
Application Requirements	The award recipient(s) will be selected according to the quality of the abstract as defined by the scoring system found in the application materials. Each abstract will be scored on 3 areas: content, quality, and significance. Each assessment will receive a score ranging from 0-1 (maximum score =12). The abstract with the highest average point total will receive the travel award with preference given to students, residents, fellows, and new practitioners (completed training within the last 5 years). The abstract must receive a minimum average score of 50% to be considered for award selection. In the absence of high-quality abstracts, the travel awards may not be given every year.

Description	The Women’s Health PRN offers travel awards to PRN members who have an interest in women’s health, meet eligibility requirements, and are selected by the Award’s Committee. The $500 award is to provide partial support for registration and/or travel-related expenses (flight, hotel, food) for one student and one resident/fellow member of the Women's Health PRN.

Eligibility	Applicants must be members of the ACCP Women’s Health PRN and attend the women’s health PRN business and networking meeting at the annual meeting. The applicant will be expected to present a poster or other brief presentation related to women’s health at the women’s health business and networking meeting. Please indicate, if applicable, the title of your poster or proposed presentation to be presented at the ACCP Annual Meeting. Award recipients from the previous year are not eligible.
