Annual Meeting Visits the “Land of Enchantment”

2013 ACCP Annual Meeting

Make plans to join your colleagues and mentors at the 2013 ACCP Annual Meeting, October 13–16, 2013, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The ACCP Annual Meeting offers stellar educational programming on the most topical issues, interactive professional development sessions with renowned presenters, and numerous networking opportunities that provide you with access to the leaders and groundbreakers in clinical pharmacy.

Albuquerque, in the heart of the “Land of Enchantment,” combines a unique blend of culture, scenic natural attractions, and centuries of art and culture, as well as a wide array of shopping and dining options, making it an unforgettable meeting and vacation destination. Bring your family and spend a few extra days experiencing the authentic Southwest by visiting nearby historic landmarks; riding the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway, North America’s longest single-span aerial tram; or exploring the city’s thriving art scene. Make plans to arrive a few days early to experience the sights and sounds of the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, a world-renowned attraction that brings colorful views of hundreds of hot air balloons sailing across the clear fall sky.

Attendees will enjoy state-of-the-art meeting facilities at the newly renovated Albuquerque Convention Center, which is set against a backdrop of the modern downtown skyline and the ancient Sandia Mountains. ACCP has selected the prestigious Hyatt Regency Albuquerque as its headquarters hotel and the trendy DoubleTree by Hilton Albuquerque as a second housing option, both located just steps from the Albuquerque Convention Center.

The 2013 Annual Meeting will offer three curricular tracks centered on emerging clinical and professional issues, PRN-developed focus sessions, and Academy programming developed for each of the four ACCP Academy certificate programs. The meeting schedule of events will also include the increasingly popular semifinal and final rounds of the fourth annual ACCP Clinical Pharmacy Challenge, which draws talented student teams from the nation’s top pharmacy schools; the highly anticipated scientific paper platform presentations and poster presentations; and the ACCP Business and Town Hall Meeting. Registration for the 2013 Annual Meeting will open June 17, 2013. Watch the ACCP Web site for more details.
