A pre-publication draft of a commentary developed by the Task Force on Residency Equivalency was recently posted to the ACCP Web site at http://www.accp.com/docs/positions/commentaries/ResEquivCommntry.pdf. Titled “Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Pharmacy Residency Program Equivalency,” the commentary addresses the knowledge, skills, and experience that a nonresidency-trained clinician might document to demonstrate PGY1 equivalency. The paper is accompanied by an ACCP Position Statement on PGY1 equivalency (see http://www.accp.com/docs/positions/positionStatements/ResEquivPosStmnt.pdf).
