ACCP Members Are Appointed by BPS to the Emergency Medicine Specialty Council and Pain Management Role Delineation Panel

Five ACCP members have been selected to serve on the inaugural Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) Emergency Medicine (EM) Pharmacy Specialty Council. BPS announced their appointment in its December 17 press release.

Because the inaugural EM Pharmacy Specialty Council members will not initially be board certified, the council will replace the original appointees with newly board-certified EM pharmacists over a 3-year period after the first examination, planned for fall 2022. The Emergency Medicine Pharmacy petition was submitted jointly by ACCP and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and approved by BPS in February 2020.
