ACCP and ASHP Launch First Preparatory Review Course for Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy

The American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) and the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) have collaborated to develop the 2021 Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy Preparatory Review Course. The first comprehensive review course of its kind, this product is designed to assist pharmacy professionals who are preparing for the Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy Specialty Certification examination administered by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS). The course is available now in the ACCP Bookstore just in time to help candidates prepare for the inaugural examination. The initial testing window is September 7 through October 11, 2021. Registration for the examination is open through August 3, 2021. Pharmacists who meet all of the eligibility criteria, including passing the examination, will be awarded the credential titled Board Certified Transplant Pharmacist® (BCTXP).

Developed by board-certified pharmacists and clinical experts, the course content is based on the domains, tasks, and knowledge statements outlined in the BPS Solid Organ Transplantation Pharmacy content outline. The course content provides a comprehensive review of the knowledge domains covered in the specialty certification examination.
