Hemstreet will begin his term as president-elect after the 2022 ACCP Global Conference on Clinical Pharmacy in October and will assume the presidency the following year. As president, he will serve as chair of the Board of Regents and guide College programs and activities. In an interview with the ACCP Report, he commented:

It is truly an honor to be selected for the position of President-Elect. The collective leadership and expertise of ACCP’s members is nothing short of amazing, and I would like to thank you all for placing your trust in me to serve in this important role. The last few years have truly been a challenging time in health care. The College has continued to lead efforts nationally and internationally in clinical pharmacy practice, education, and research. However, there is still an ongoing need to advance and highlight the role of clinical pharmacists as undisputed experts in these areas. I welcome the ongoing collaboration and passion of ACCP’s members in leading these efforts and look forward to working with the ACCP leadership to respond to member needs and continue to foster excellent organizational health. Thank you again for your support – I hope to see many colleagues in person this fall in San Francisco!
