2022 ACCP Visual Abstract Challenge Winners Announced

ACCP introduced a new competition for postgraduate trainees earlier this year that attracted 26 visual abstract submissions. All submissions were evaluated by two expert reviewers and received criteria-based scores. Individuals with the top five submissions received complimentary ACCP Global Conference registration and an ACCP gift code redeemable for resources of their choice. Congratulations to the finalists!

First place was awarded to Soyoung Park, candidate for an M.S. degree in clinical pharmacy at Sookmyung Women’s University in Seoul, Korea. Second place was awarded to Cecilia Volk, an infectious diseases research fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Pharmacy in Madison, Wisconsin. The other finalists were Kayla Thibodaux, a PGY1 pharmacy resident at Slidell Memorial Hospital in Slidell, Louisiana; Peter Tran, a PGY1 pharmacy resident at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas; and Megan Vu, a pediatric pharmacotherapy resident at the University of Austin College of Pharmacy in San Antonio, Texas.

The ACCP Visual Abstract Challenge is open to current residents, fellows, and post-Pharm.D. full-time graduate students. It combines skills to evaluate the primary literature with the ability to creatively communicate key components of the published research. This innovative and unique competition offers individuals an opportunity to build their visual abstract creation skills for pre-published work in preparation for their own future publications. The challenge will open again for submissions on June 30, 2023. All submissions can be viewed at https://www.accp.com/resfel/vac/abstracts.aspx?mode=viewall.
