The ACCP Foundation is excited to announce the availability of two new opportunities for ACCP members: the Immersive Mentored Skill Development Program (IMMERSE) and a practice advancement funding opportunity focused on Medication Optimization Improving Human Health (MedOp RFA). These two programs continue the Foundation’s strategic transformation from the Research Institute and advance its expanded mission to more broadly support ACCP member interests.
IMMERSE is a career advancement program to fund and facilitate focused opportunities for full members of ACCP to acquire new skills that will expand and/or enhance their clinical practice or research programs. From May 15 through June 15, 2023, the Foundation will accept applications from any PRN interested in cosponsoring a Foundation-funded IMMERSE mentor/trainee advanced skill development experience. The ACCP Foundation will then select three PRNs to cosponsor skill development programs. Please visit the IMMERSE information page on the Foundation website for details.
MedOp RFA invites research proposals that focus on novel and innovative patient-centered, team-based approaches that can be used by clinical pharmacists to achieve medication optimization. Medication optimization in the context of this funding opportunity refers to services and approaches used by clinical pharmacists to achieve optimal medication safety and effectiveness. The ACCP Foundation has committed up to $200,000 to fund medication optimization research for this RFA. Required letters of intent will be accepted until July 14, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. (CDT). The ACCP Foundation continues to offer one-of-a-kind investigator development programs and research support for students, trainees, junior investigators, and experienced researchers. The Focused Investigator Training (FIT) program is for researchers seeking personalized coaching to maximize federal grant application funding success, the Mentored Research Investigator Training (MeRIT) program is for less experienced investigators desiring expert mentorship throughout the research and publication experience, and the Futures Grants program is for those seeking mentored research grants for seeding careers in clinical pharmacy research.
