2023 ACCP Visual Abstract Challenge

The winners of the 2023 Visual Abstract Challenge are announced.

ACCP’s 2023 Visual Abstract Challenge attracted 22 visual abstract submissions. All submissions were evaluated by three expert reviewers and received criteria-based scores. Individuals with the top five submissions will receive complimentary ACCP Annual Meeting registrations and ACCP gift codes redeemable for resources of their choice. Congratulations to the finalists!

First place is awarded to Abby Kremer, Pharm.D., PGY2 critical care pharmacy resident at WakeMed Health and Hospitals in Raleigh, North Carolina. Second place is awarded to Stephanie Nguyen, Pharm.D., PGY2 infectious diseases pharmacy resident at University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. The other finalists are Rebecca Aubart, Pharm.D., PGY1 pharmacy resident at Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, North Dakota; Amy A. Eller, Pharm.D., PGY2 pharmacotherapy resident at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Tyler M. Kennedy, Pharm.D., PGY2 internal medicine pharmacy resident at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The ACCP Visual Abstract Challenge is open to current residents, fellows, and post-Pharm.D. full-time graduate students. It combines skills to evaluate the primary literature with the ability to creatively communicate key components of the published research. This innovative and unique competition offers individuals an opportunity to build their visual abstract creation skills for prepublished work in preparation for their own future publications. The challenge will open again for submissions on June 30, 2024. All submissions can be viewed at https://www.accp.com/resfel/vac/abstracts.aspx.
