APLD Graduating Class

The APLD program is designed to provide members with an opportunity to learn leadership principles within the framework of ACCP governance through the perspectives of both elected leaders and staff. Led by Directors Miranda Andrus, Pharm.D., FCCP, BCPS, and Marcia L. Buck, Pharm.D., FCCP, FPPA, BCPPS, together with established leaders within ACCP who serve as faculty and mentors, APLD prepares participants for service as leaders within ACCP as well as the pharmacy profession. The program begins with an in-person session during the ACCP Annual Meeting, followed by 16 interactive virtual sessions on leadership topics throughout the year. The program is focused on ACCP’s mission and core values and builds on established leadership principles, including those from leadership texts used by the Board of Regents. APLD members are mentored by current and former ACCP leaders throughout the year and work in groups to complete capstone projects that move critical strategic initiatives forward. Mentors and speakers for the program volunteer their efforts as part of their commitment to serve ACCP.

The 2023-2024 APLD class is underway, and ACCP members are encouraged to consider applying for the next class. More information can be found at ACCP Professional Leadership Development Program. The call for applications for the 2024–2025 APLD class will open on April 1, 2024.
