Description of opportunity:
PGY-2 Internal Medicine Residency is designed to transition PGY1 Pharmacy resident graduate from a generalist to an internal medicine specialist with a focus on the care of adult patients with multiple complex medical problems, primarily in the inpatient setting. Residents who successfully complete the PGY2 Internal Medicine Residency will be able to provide integrated pharmaceutical care at a patient-specific level as well as a patient population level across continuums of care. Furthermore, the program will provide residents with opportunities to conceptualize, integrate, and transform accumulated experiences and knowledge into skill, competence, and confidence in providing safe, efficient, and evidence-based cost-effective patient care.
