Overview

This activity has been developed and designed for pharmacists who are planning on sitting for the Board of Pharmacy Specialties (BPS) examination in Pharmacotherapy and/or Critical Care Pharmacy. Created as a supplement to the 2022 Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy Preparatory Review and Recertification Courses, the 2023 Updates Plus in Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy Webinar Recording will provide an overview of any major guidelines released between May 2022 and May 2023.

Target Audience

The target audience for the 2023 Updates Plus in Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy Webinar is the pharmacist preparing for the spring administration of the BPS Pharmacotherapy and/or Critical Care Pharmacy specialty certification examinations, for Board-certified Pharmacotherapy Pharmacists (BCPS) or Critical Care Pharmacy Pharmacists (BCCCP) looking to earn recertification credit, and those seeking a review of the latest guidelines and therapeutic updates as they relate to the Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy examination content outline.

Continuing Pharmacy Education Credit

The American College of Clinical Pharmacy is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education.

The 2023 Updates Plus in Pharmacotherapy and Critical Care Pharmacy Webinar will provide one session with 2.0 contact hours of continuing pharmacy education credit or 2.0 hours of BCPS, BCCCP, or BCPS/BCCCP recertification credit.

Application-based activity

To be eligible to earn continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credit, participants must purchase the product, review all content, successfully complete, submit and pass the Web-based posttest associated with each module by February 14, 2026. Only completed assessments will be eligible for credit; no partial or incomplete assessments will be processed. You are allowed only one attempt to successfully complete this assessment.

National Association of Boards of Pharmacy - CPE Monitor Service

Provided through the collaborative efforts of the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and ACPE-accredited providers, the CPE Monitor Service allows you to electronically keep track of continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits from ACPE-accredited providers. ACPE-accredited providers, like ACCP, are responsible for transmitting this information to NABP to be stored in the CPE Monitor system. Statements of credit will be available at CPE Monitor, nabp.pharmacy/cpe-monitor-service/, within 2–3 business days after completion of this activity. To be eligible to earn BCPS, BCCCP, or BCPS/BCCCP recertification credit, participants must purchase the recertification version of this course, review all content, successfully complete, submit and pass the Web-based posttest associated with each module by March 7, 2024. Only completed assessments will be eligible for credit; no partial or incomplete assessments will be processed. You are allowed only one attempt to successfully complete this assessment.

The passing point to earn BCPS, BCCCP, or BCPS/BCCCP recertification credit is based on an expert analysis of the assessment items in each posttest module. Any posttest submitted before the Specialty Recertification Credit posttest deadline that meets this passing point will earn Specialty Recertification credits. These credits will be assigned as of the date of test submission.

Hardware and Software Requirements

To access the recordings by computer, you will need broadband Internet access, an updated Internet browser, Adobe Flash Player, and speakers or headphones for audio.

To access the recordings on a Wi-Fi enabled mobile device, you will need a wireless internet connection.
