Two Mentored Research Investigator Training (MeRIT) participants delivered platform presentations of their research on Sunday, November 12, at the 2023 ACCP Annual Meeting in Dallas. Presenters were selected from manuscripts of completed MeRIT research.

Participants presenting their research were:

• Rebecca M. Lahrman, Pharm.D., BCACP, assistant professor at The Ohio State University: “Pharmacists’ Facilitators and Barriers to Implementing and Billing for Patient Care Services: Interviews from the Ohio Medicaid Project.”
• Megan E. Feeney, Pharm.D., BCCCP, clinical pharmacist at Boston Medical Center: “Variation in Use of Medications for Opioid Use Disorder in Critically Ill Patients Across the United States.”

The 2-year longitudinal MeRIT program is designed to help clinical pharmacists develop the abilities necessary to conduct investigator-initiated research, either independently as a principal investigator or as an active co-investigator within a research team.
