A Closer Look at the Emergency Medicine PRN

The Emergency Medicine PRN (EMED PRN) was approved by the ACCP Board of Regents in August 2008, officially launching at its first business meeting at the 2008 ACCP Annual Meeting. Starting with 30 individuals at the first meeting, the EMED PRN now has over 1200 total members in 2024. The PRN is committed to supporting practitioners in their professional practice and advancing the field.

Committee Opportunities:

(1) CODE Committee: partners participants to achieve career goals

(2) Research Committee: facilitates scholarship within the PRN

(3) Media Committee: develops the annual newsletter and provides information to ACCP for its newsletters

(4) Awards Committee: nominates individuals within the PRN for ACCP recognition and oversees the PRN travel award

(5) Programming Committee: develops the Emergency Medicine PRN Focus Session programming for the ACCP Annual Meeting.

Residents and fellows are allowed to sit on the Emergency Medicine PRN subcommittees.
